Diana has been a photographer, video producer and digital media arts educator for over a decade. She has photographed famous musicians, product photography and capturing life moments for families and couples throughout her career.
Education has always been Diana’s calling. She spent six years at Segerstrom Fundamental High School as the Lead AVID tutor, and helped build the program that is there today.
After receiving her Bachelor of Arts degree in Studio Art-Photography from the California State University, Long Beach, she created an award winning Stop Motion Animation program at the Orange County Educational Arts Academy in Santa Ana. She pursued her passion for art and education by receiving her Career Technical Education Credential in Arts, Media and Entertainment from the Orange County Department of Education in 2012.
In 2013, Diana became the New Media Academy teacher at Valley High School. She is currently teaching Digital Photography, Video Production I & II. She has taught a Television and Broadcasting workshop and created an AV Club and Creative Catholics Club on campus. She received the honor of Certificated Employee of the Month in December 2014 and was the first teacher in the district to become Adobe Certified in Photoshop in August 2014.
She piloted an online Photoshop class with Golden West College for her students so they could begin their college careers. With Diana's support and instruction, her Video Production students are doing things in the SAUSD that no one else has ever done; the annual school wide Lip Dub video where her students produce and direct hundreds of students to show their school spirit, they created a series on YouTube, Voices of Creativity with Golden West College meeting industry professionals Randy Thomas and Jim Cummings.
In September 2015 Diana was accepted into the Master’s program for Curriculum and Instruction at Concordia University. She is an avid learner, educator and creative artist currently producing media packages for local bands.
